Privacy Policy — Jobsides

This Privacy Policy describes how Jobsides, LLC ("Jobsides," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Jobsides service ("Service"). By using the Service you consent to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide:

• Account registration data: name, business name, email, phone number, billing address
• Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers; we store a token and last-4 digits.
• Business content you create in the Service: projects, estimates, invoices, contracts, lien waivers, employee records, subcontractor records, customer records, photos, files, time entries, checks
• Bank routing and account numbers when you set up the check-writing feature. Stored encrypted at rest.
• Communications with our support team

1.2 Information collected automatically:

• Log data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URLs
• Usage data: features accessed, actions taken, timestamps, session duration
• Cookies and similar technologies (see section 6)

1.3 Information from third-party integrations: if you connect the Service to a third-party service (QuickBooks Online, Home Depot Pro Xtra, Lowe's, etc.), we receive the data those services authorize you to share.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Communicate with you about your account, product updates, and support
• Send AI-assisted content generation requests to our AI processing partner (Anthropic) — see section 4
• Investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms
• Comply with legal obligations

3. How we share your information

We do NOT sell your personal information or Customer Data. We share information only as follows:

• Service providers who help us operate the Service (hosting: DigitalOcean; storage: Cloudflare R2; email: Resend; payments: Stripe; AI processing: Anthropic; error tracking: Sentry). Each is contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us.
• Third-party integrations you enable (QuickBooks, Home Depot Pro Xtra, Lowe's, etc.) — you control what is shared through those connections.
• Legal compliance — when required by law, court order, subpoena, or lawful government request.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We will notify you before or promptly after your data is transferred.
• With your consent — for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time.

4. AI-assisted features + your data

4.1 When you use the AI Writing Assistant, AI Scope Writer, AI Contract Compose Engine, or AI drawing takeoff features, we send the relevant portion of your input (a scope description, a document draft, an image of a drawing, etc.) to our AI processing partner (Anthropic) for processing.

4.2 Anthropic processes AI requests under a commercial data-processing agreement. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models on our commercial account. However, your input is transmitted outside Jobsides' immediate infrastructure to Anthropic's processing systems during the AI operation.

4.3 If you do not want any content processed by third-party AI, do not use the AI-assisted features.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent

To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Data inside a customer's account. If you are an employee, subcontractor, customer, or other individual whose information appears inside a Jobsides customer's account, that customer controls that data and decides what happens to it. We will refer your request to them and act on their instruction.

California residents: California law (CCPA/CPRA) provides additional rights including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of sale/sharing. Jobsides does not sell personal information. To exercise CCPA rights, email [email protected] with subject line "California Privacy Request."

6. Cookies + tracking

We use essential cookies to operate the Service (session management, authentication). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add analytics cookies in the future, we will update this Policy before they take effect. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required by applicable law.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including encryption at rest for sensitive data (bank routing/account numbers, passwords, payment tokens), TLS in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

8. Data retention

• Active accounts: we retain your data as long as your account is active.
• Cancelled accounts: 30 days for standard data (during which you can export), then deleted from active systems. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days.
• E-sign audit trails: retained for a minimum of seven (7) years after signature.
• Payment records: retained as required by tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years).

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

10. International data transfers

The Service is currently intended for use within the United States. Your data is processed and stored in the United States. If we expand to international markets, we will update this Policy with applicable safeguards (SCCs, etc.).

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice at least thirty (30) days in advance.
